Family - The EPIC Centre of Strength Or Making Family Heaven on Earth

In today's stressful life, home is the only place of solace, strength, encouragement to combat with all worldly challenges. Home is "Heaven" if its members stand united, forge unity in thought and action. A joint family is a source of inspiration, strength to weaker members and a support to disabled one. The joint family is breaking up, giving rise to a nuclear family.
At present, the system of social order of the Hindu culture is breaking up. A householder has to firmly grapple with, several problems. He is facing odd life situations, full of disappointment, disquietude and tension. Self interest is the root - cause of all quarrels, wrangles and disquietude in the family. Everyone wants his desire to be fulfilled, longs for favourable circumstances, wants to lead a comfortable and luxurious life, besides gaining glory. He, who instead of wrangles wants quietude in the family should think of his duty and the rights of others. Do good to others, honour others, besides providing comfort to his family. A family is a joint venture where every member has his contribution to make it a "Heaven". Every person should learn to live with the members of his family who have different nature with affection, renouncing his pride and pleasure, keeping in mind the welfare and convenience of others. When souls loose their purity and power, the home turns from Heaven to Hell. Honour and respectability is the reward in return for virtues. Good action bring the blessings of others which is the most precious reward.
A family is unhappy when the house-holder feels proud, wishes his desire to be fulfilled and has some selfish motive. When he thinks of how to do good to other members, how to lead them to benediction, how to honour and comfort them and translates his thought into practice, all the members of the family becomes happy. If the members of the family live lovingly with one another, the atmosphere will be full of peace, happiness and love evolve by the renunciation of selfishness and pride. When selfishness and pride are renounced, love evolves automatically. The friendlier attitude of the members of the family, sown with love, dedication and selfless service is the Mantra to convert "Home into a Heaven".
