Islamic Jehadi Vultures at it Again Kashmiri Pandits Reminded of their Bleeding Wounds

 

28 tourists have been killed, after the Jehadi terrorists made a cowardly attack at the prime tourist location of Pahalgam in South Kashmir on Tuesday (April 22, 2025), on the tourists who were unarmed and innocent. This attack is much larger than anything we've seen directed at civilians in recent years. It is yet again a barbaric attack on unarmed civilians that too belonging mostly to non-Muslim communities. It shows that such an attack of these Jehadi elements is yet another fundamentalists attacks to show their might as Islamic perpetrators who are doing so at the behest of elements across the border abetted and supported by the some local elements from Kashmir, who are die hard communalists by birth. The scenic meadows of a natural location in Pahalgam in South Kashmir, known as Baisaran recognized as "mini Switzerland", turned into a scene of carnage as terrorists opened fire on innocent tourists enjoying their sojourn to Pahalgam. This brutal act marks a grim chapter in Kashmir's long struggle with insurgency and militancy. By attacking a location known globally for its beauty and growing popularity among domestic and foreign visitors, the perpetrators have aimed not just at lives, but at the very essence of humanism and its essence. This attack, like Pulwama in 2019, will have adverse diplomatic repercussions with Pakistan and renewed calls for accountability for terrorism funding and training of the Islamic Jehadi terrorists by Pakistan. It is also a test of India's internal security strategy in Jammu and Kashmir. While military operations have been successful in eliminating many insurgent leaders, this incident suggests that newly radicalized factions are capable enough of striking hapless civilian targets. Counter insurgency efforts must evolve accordingly. It is a barbaric act of the radicalize Islam which follows only one religion, which is Jehad, when in the modern times, it is nothing but senselessness and brutality coupled with ignorance and madness. This barbaric act of terror has been condemned in strong terms by all the right thinking person’s across the globe. It has made the whole nation to mourn and become full of anger and rage against such terrorists and their mentors both within the country and across the borders, viz, the Pakistan. The emotions and the anger is at its highest pitch across the countrymen that everyone wants a strong action against Pakistan which is the terror hub and known for its terror links. This barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam highlights a glaring lapse in the security system and a complete failure of the intelligence network, when it failed to detect even the faintest signs of such a large-scale terror operation. This is not an isolated incident. Recent developments across all ten districts of the Jammu division have repeatedly shown that our borders remain dangerously porous, allowing terrorists to infiltrate with an ease. The sustained local support enabling these infiltrators to find shelter and move freely with ease makes it more vulnerable. What is our security and intelligence system doing? There has to be perfect accountability. It is a grave matter of loss of precious lives. Who will pay for it from our security system, which consumes the heaviest amounts of the national budget allocations for its maintenance? It is the tax payer's money. There has to be an in depth accountability. Some initial measures have been taken by the government of India in this respect against Pakistan which are listed below. The CCS recommended five actions against Pakistan. 1. The Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 will be held in abeyance with immediate effect until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism, said the statement. 2. The Integrated Check Post Attari will be closed with immediate effect. Those who have crossed over with valid endorsements may 3. 4. 5. return through that route before 01 May 2025. Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India. The Defense/Military, Naval and Air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi are declared Persona Non Grata. They have a week to leave India. India will be withdrawing its own Defence/Navy/Air Advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in the respective High Commissions are deemed annulled. Five support staff of the Service Advisors will also be withdrawn from both High Commissions. The overall strength of the high commissions will be brought down to 30 from the present 55 through further reductions, to be affected by 01 May 2025. It is a welcome diplomatic step in this regard and presumably it appears that a start has been given to deal with Pakistan the perpetrator of terror in Kashmir, with some kind of kinetic reaction, though much more needs to be done on the ground security levels to tackle Pakistan militarily with an appropriate response. Probably much more needs to be done in this regard as for as the advent of militancy in Kashmir is concerned. Kashmir is full of radical Islam now though the signal from the majority population in Kashmir is negating it. The real problem is that who gives shelter to such terrorists and terror set us in Kashmir. It is the elements from the local population which shields and fields such persons for fanning terror and its roots in Kashmir in the name of radicalization of Islam in Kashmir. Whenever such terror acts are done or performed in Kashmir, there is no resentment from the local population and no condemnation for Pakistan where from such terror hubs are working and fed with. In fact with the present brutal terrorists act in Pahalgam, not a single word of condemnation came from any Muslim from Kashmir including the Chief Minister or any other prominent Muslim leader from Kashmir about Pakistan. As such cleansing and dealing with an iron hand with such radical elements in Kashmir is badly needed. If it could not be done in the case of the mass genocide and forced displacement of the more than six lack Kashmiri Pandits, who are living in exile as refugees in their own country, let it be done for the overall security and safety of every national of India. Let extremism of Islamic fundamentalism be removed ruthlessly from Kashmir to make it safe for living for every Indian for posterity. That is needed on priority. These Jehadi terrorists have killed these innocent tourists after ascertaining that they are Hindus. So it is a mass killing for one's religious faith. As against this there has been no retaliation from the Hindus across the country against such brutal killings of Hindus, which would result in worst communal clashes across the country. This is the beauty of the Hinduism and Hindu faith. It preaches and teaches tolerance and compassion. But how long enough is enough now. Such radicals amongst the Muslim faiths in the country need to neutralized immediately in the overall interest of the security and development of India. It needs to be applied to those political parties too, across the country,which are patronizing such radical minorities of this country for their vote bank politics. It is the need of the hour. While the nation as a whole is very much gloomy and concerned about this barbaric terror attack, it is not a new phenomenon of terror for the forcibly displaced Kashmiri Pandits, as they have witnessed it 35 years ago, when they are living as refugees in their own country for long now. Thanks to the pseudo seçular policies of the power corridors of this country. With the extreme influx of the of Islamic fundamentalist wave in Kashmir right from 1988, even though its deep roots were very much there in a section of the majority population, it resulted in the shaking of the foundations of the basic existence of the roots of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir, being the aboriginal dwellers of Kashmir. KP's were driven out from Kashmir at the gun point, naked and barren, along with carrying of the deep scars of their genocide, loot, arson, rape and mass devastation with them. Since then the displaced KP's continue to live as refugees in their own country as a "Caged Community", anticipating and expecting a fair treatment with them at the hands of the power corridors, when tall claims are being made about the same day in and day out. Nothing has matured on the ground, nor does it appear to happen. Displaced KP's lost everything under this communal fiasco of Islamic fundamentalism, which was more loaded with terrorism than any Islamic peeping of any sacred principles of even the tough Islamic teachings and preaching's, to be classified under any ism of reality or truth of a religious dogma or faith. History is privy to the fact that the role ofthe terrorist imported in Kashmir across the border with the aim to Islamize Kashmir fully under the umbrella of fundamentalism, almost turned the other way round, when they did not spare their own Muslim brothers and sisters of Kashmir from all types heinous crimes and exploitations, which does not qualify to be mentioned here. The fundamentalist elements in Kashmir thus ruined Kashmir and its chastity as a paradise on earth. This is "Jihad", a fanatic maxim of Fundamentalist Islam. No concern about humanity and its existence when the Sufism the crux of Islam teaches and preaches tolerance, brotherhood and compassion. KP's created heritage of centuries in Kashmir in terms of spiritual ecstasies, like their age old temples, the religious places, abodes of eminent scholars of great spiritual values, cosmic seats of highest spiritual energies like "various-holy Springs (Nagh), Lakes, Rivers, Meadows, designate cosmic places of worships (Tirathas) and apart from their personal lives and belongings of varied sorts were snatched away from them for a simple reason that KP's were representing India in Kashmir. The authorities in power of varied classifications that matter for peaceful governance and freedom for all ignored it spitefully, as KP's do not have a vote bank tag, being a miniscule community. It reminds the KP's of their past periods of tyrannies of Muslim rulers like Moguls', Pathans, Chaks and the like. It is said that seven mounds (about 280 Kgs) of the sacred thread of the murdered Brahmans were burnt by Sikandar Butshikan and all of their sacred books were thrown into the Dal Lake. The KPs numbering over one lakh were drowned in the Lake and were burned at a spot in the vicinity of Rainawari in Srinagar City, know as Bhatta Mazar (The grave yard of the Bhatta’s, t KPs) beyond present day Jogilanker. According to the living memory of the KP only eleven KP families stayed back in Kashmir the rest, rather than abandoning the religion their father's, chose to migrate leaving behind the beloved homes hearths, lands and everything, on to protect their religion and faith. Making a mention of the recent time pertaining to pro 1947 era, the rigmarole about the duping the KP's of their fundamental right to livun Kashmir with dignity and honor, started in thiperiod only, when the exodus of KP's started fro Kashmir. So it was a process which was well define and thought of by the Islamic fundamentalists now having captured the sentimental auraof Kashmirn under the big psyche of making Kashmir a pure dominated place of Kashmiri Muslims. Sheikh's rule in 1947 and post 1947 embedded the seeds of "Pseudo Secularism, vi half truths about the real concept of tru secularism", in Jammu and Kashmir, for whid the main suffering population of Jammu and Kashmir were the Kashmiri Pandits. It was i this time only when the Land to Tiller laws wer enforced which in particular made Kashmir Pandits the main targets as most of the Kashmir Pandits were well established "Zamindars" an their agricultural lands were snatched from then and given to the tillers who were Muslims, witta biased base of communal tinge. Apart from thi enough of partialities occurred during that time when KP's were refused proper representation in the government jobs, educational trainingsetc. This is the period when the first mass exodu of Kashmiri Pandits occurred towards the plains for earning their bread and butter with dig nit and honor. Subsequent governments in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir followed suit to destabilize the base of the KP's from thevalley, under a well knitplan, when mass exoduses of KP's took place from time to time thus limiting the population of KP's to just to miniscule one in Kashmir. With the brute advent of militancy in the yea 1989-90, during the national conference rule abetted by the sympathetic support of the Congress party from Delhi, the situation for the KP's became a death knell for them. It is almos like a last nail in our coffin to get extinct from the history of Kashmir and become a mystery and a history of past. Mass genocide and exodus of the KP's occurred, which is reverberating still on the fascia and the minds of the KP's and will continue to be so as long as humanity exists in this universe. Prominent leaders, intellectuals, politicians, individuals, government officers and the like amongst the KP's were brutally killed in broad day lights in thousands, along with the mass migration of this minuscule community to their destinations of devastations. It shows an extreme apathy of the various governments who have not doing anything tangible to save the KP's from extinction. Actions initiated by the government of India in the past for the return and rehabilitation of the KP's to the Kashmir valley were not taken after due consultations with the community members, who were knowing as to where the shoe is pinching in this regard. As soon as such a news with regard to government moves for the rehabilitation of KP's, became public, Muslim leadership across the political divide in Kashmir valley rejected the return of KP's to any kind of secured settlements in the valley. This unanimous rejection of the return of KP's tothe Valley by the entire populace of the Muslims of Kashmir along with their leadership shows clearly, that the forced migration of Kashmiri Hindus was not only an act committed by a few, but an organized off shoot of "Islamic Jehad". It shows that there was a societal connivance amongst the majority community of Kashmir, in this entire operation of religious cleansing of KPs. Kashmiri Muslim leadership of all the ranks and files including the so called pseudo secularists were thus an integral part of the intolerant Islamic fundamentalists, when these elements continue to be so. Under such circumstances displaced KP's want a return to their "homeland", but not to the servitude of a Muslim State, as Kashmir has become now. Under such grave circumstances, the only solution left for the rehabilitation of the KP's is to create a "separate homeland" for the KP's, with in Kashmir, having a status of "Union Territory". Such a call is not any political proposition. It is in fact the only way to ensure the return of the KP's to their "homeland" securing their return with safety and dignity.
