I hope that members of the community have traditionally celebrated Maha Shivratri. May Lord Shiva bestow peace, prosperity, and good health on all of us.

Education

Our wards are now preparing for the board exams, which are scheduled to be held in March 2023. We wish all those students appearing for exams great success in their board exams. As you know, Kendriya Vidyalaya admissions are open in every KV across India. We have received orders, and the same order copy from last year will also continue this year. The order copy is republished on the page No. 30 for parents to seek admission for their children in any Kendriya Vidyalaya by obtaining a recommendation letter from this office.

The following are the documents required for admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya:

1. Photocopies of the Migrant Card 

2. Photocopies of parent's and ward's Adhaar Card

3. An application with the current address and mobile phone number.

Admission to various Technical Institutions Our KP wards who, after completing the 12th board exams, want to seek admissions in various Technical Institutions in India can contact our Vice President Shri Vijay Bhat on his mobile no. 9873129361. He will assist you with how to proceed further.

Those KP wards who want migrant certificates can contact the KSD office to get a recommendation letter for the migrant certificate. The documents required for the migration certificate are:

1. Photocopies of the Registration Migrant Card

2. Photocopy of the 10th class certificate

3. Photocopies of the Aadhaar Cards of the parent and the child.

4. A letter to the President of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi (include your current address and phone number) Subject: Issuance of a Kashmiri migrant certificate.

Relief

Kashmiri Samiti Delhi is fighting for the addition/bifurcation of family cards in Delhi, for which the Nodal Cell meeting was held on January 10, 2022, and we again publish the meeting minutes on the page No. 16-17. In addition, various meetings have been held with Deputy Commissioners and SDMs to streamline the relief payment process. In this regard, the payment for the month of February 2023 was credited before the "Maha Shivratri" festival. Kashmiri Samiti Delhi is thankful to the Revenue Department under the Chairmanship of the Revenue Secretary/Divisional Commissioner.

Meeting with Deputy Commissioner South

According to the meeting minutes, Dy Commissioner South convened a meeting with the Kashmiri Samiti Delhi delegation on 23 Feb 2023, for action to be taken on the issue of stoppage of relief to the 17 Kashmiri migrant families in South Delhi. The meeting was chaired by the Dy Commissioner Madam. It was decided in the meeting that the file which is pending in the Ministry shall be called back and after that, the restoration of relief may take place after examining the file. All other issues were discussed during the meeting and the meeting remained fruitful in all respect.

Construction of Bhawan

We are heading towards the construction of the new Kashmir Bhawan. A soil test was performed, and we are pleased to have received a positive report on the soil testing that was assigned after completing the process of receiving quotations from other vendors as well.M/S UV Global GEO Solutions Pvt Ltd provided the lowest quote and has extensive experience with soil testing.

Several meetings were held with the bidder, Shri Nitan Mittal, director of the company, to discuss the necessary actions and cost-cutting measures. The Executive Council is satisfied, on the whole, with awarding construction to this bidder. But still, due to some reasons, the management has not awarded it. I'm hoping the decision will be made in the coming days.

The audited balance sheet of KSD for the financial year 2023-23 is once again republished on page no. 51-54 for the perusal of life members and the baradari.
