Elephant in Congress Columns
Rahul Gandhi's Bharta Jodo Yatra got politically eclipsed by his mistimed utterances in the recent session of Parliament which was strongly contested by Modi and BJP parliament members together, giving rise to the revival of the memories of the Indians by and large across the country, about the scams and scandals of erstwhile regimes of congress governments Probably he misused the ceremonial occasion of being in the parliament of India to highlight the success of his Yatra, to his political doom along with the spread of hate against the congress party as usual, as he did in earlier election times, by saying repeatedly about Modi that Chowkidar- Chowder Hai" and the like. Probably he needs to be put on probation in field of political knowledge with his own congress party cadre, as there is enough prudence still left in this decaying political party provided they are allowed to grow and act. The situation otherwise sounds very bleak for congress, as the queen and the princes of congress will never allow it to grow beyond the influence of their domain, till congress vanishes under its own shade. This is height of the autocracy on the part of those in the congress party who are not allowing this political party to grow beyond the certain influx of dynasty base which has now a foreign link.
The majority of the people of India did not digest such misconceived and unverified comments of Rahul Gandhi about Modi. This bears a sequence to the track record of Modi government's comparative statement of governance as compared to that of the congress regimes of past, where the family and the dynasty rulers, ruled the roost to the extreme doom of the people of this country. Those who are living in glass houses should not throw
stones on others houses, a famous axiom of reality and not a fiction. Rahul Gandhi is ridiculing his political ridicule to the mock and the jocular clapping of the Indians across the country. Once bitten twice shy. Congress party has been bitten by such irresponsible utterances of their probable imaginary tall leader, Rahul Gandhi, when he is not so and lost the elections miserably twice. The supposedly great Indian National Congress is unfortunately being made to decay under its own weight of the hypocritical family fiasco, when it is claimed by a self- selected few, presently in the congress hierarchy, as a legacy in their heritage. The often-repeated slogan Congress - Mukat- Bharat, since 2014, by the majority of Indians, when congress lost its elections and the government badly, is probably now coming as a truth and not a fallacy. It was looking like a farce at that point of time, when one could hardly visualise that the condition of the congress party will be so much implacable. Congress party led by the royal family did not allow to have a full-fledged congress president, from its root workers and cadres, when it took enough time for the congress party of the day to have a full fledged president after a lot of mess and turmoil. Ultimately, the congress president was chosen again from the source of being a loyal sympathiser of the royal family of congress party, presently running the affairs of congress from remote. It happened due to the compulsions of time, when it became visible that Rahul Gandhi was probably disinclined to take the job, due to his incompetence and lack of political acumen to run such a vast national political party, as he had miserably failed to deliver when he held the reigns of congress president from 16th December 2017 to 3rd July 2019.
The queens and the prince and the princes of the congress party had to opt for a person loyal to them in all respects, ignoring the basic fact, that the need of the hour for the congress party was to have a young dynamic leader as its president to combat the strong opposition from BJP and other regional political parties, as the congress party hardly has left any choice to have political friends elsewhere in the country as well, due to its dictatorial approach that India is its private property.
Rahul Gandhi is per se still under such a hibernation, when of late the former All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi (MP) chaired a meeting of senior party leaders from Kashmir at Gulmarg, during which he expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting people of Jammu and Kashmir, in absence of the democratic system in J&K. Was he holidaying at Gulmarg, the hill station of Kashmir for winter games, along with his sister, and thus converted the event as a political tour to address the senior leaders of congress at Gulmarg. It reminds the people of the legacies of kings and queens of the bourgeons times, when such like events would take place at luxurious places of joy and entertainment. Should they befool the people further? Why was not such a meeting held at Srinagar the winter capital of J & K, if at all there was a mandatory need for the same? Was it an event of entertainment followed by a meeting concerning non-issues based upon untruths and fallacies? While seeking democratic rights for the people of Kashmir, did he willfully ignore the aboriginals of Kashmir the Kashmiri Pandits, to say a word of sympathy for them having been subjected to genocide of sorts and living as displaced citizens in their own country, due to extreme onslaught of militancy in Kashmir. Does Rahul Gandhi know that it was his great grandfather Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who dismissed the government of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah the tall leader of Kashmir, in 1953 and sent him to jail for almost 12 years. Does Rahul Gandhi know that his grandmother Smt. Indra Gandhi, the then prime minister of India again gave power back to Sheikh Abdullah, after almost two decades of his remaining away from the mainstream politics of Jammu and Kashmir, while demanding plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir, after signing Indra-Sheikh accord in 1975, disturbing again the balance of power in Jammu & Kashmir to appease Sheikh Abdullah.
Does Rahul Gandhi know that it was his late father Sh. Rajiv Gandhi who was responsible for dismissing the duly elected National Conference Government in 1985, headed by Farooq Abdullah and hobnobbed with his brother in law Sh. G. M. Shah and made him the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir State.
Does Rahul Gandhi know that with the signing of Rajiv-Farooq accord way back in 1987, initiated by his late father Sh. Rajiv Gandhi, Farooq Abdullah again took over the reins of government in November, 1987. This process of dismissing and installing back such governments led to serious lapses in governance and gave rise to the present day militancy in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Elections of 1987 were badly rigged by the national conference with the nascent support from the congress party from Delhi headed by Sh. Rajiv Gandhi. This gave birth to the emergence of acute unrest in the youth of Kashmir, doubting the democratic values of such governments and opted for guns, which became the origin of the present day militancy in Kashmir after receiving terror trainings from Pakistan across the border. The main targets of this militancy were the Kashmiri Pandits, who were made to flee Kashmir, nude and naked, leaving their homes and hearths under the threats of gun, after being put to acts of genocide and murder by the terror groups, which were moving freely in Kashmir in 1989-1990 and onwards.
This led to further alienation of Kashmir from India as democracy had been thrown to gutters when the dynastic rules abetted by congress from Delhi were allowed to get flourished by the congress leaders having links with the Nehru arena, which unfortunately includes most of the immediate relations of Rahul Gandhi. This is how democracy and democratic rights of the people of Kashmir were choked by the congress party, while ruling India, in Kashmir, about which Rahul Gandhi is beating his breast now from the picnic sports of Jammu and Kashmir like Gulmarg, without any knowledge of the historical facts, which has actually brought Jammu and Kashmir to the present level of devastation, through militancy. This is what congress has given to Jammu and Kashmir. Probably Rahul Gandhi is ignorant about it. While holidaying at the hill station of Kashmir, the Gulmarg, for skiing and snow games, as a prudent political leader of a responsible political party, Rahul Gandhi should have fully educated himself, about the actual plight of Kashmir, which is mass forced exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir and their rehabilitation back in Kashmir.
Thanks to the democratic efforts of the Modi government in Delhi for the last more than seven years that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir in near normal. This is how Rahul Gandhi and his sister were able to move freely without any fear and threat in remote places for holidaying or holding of political meetings at such remote mountainous locations of Kashmir like Gulmarg. Prominent evidence in this behalf is that of Rahul Gandhi being able to hoist the tricolour at Lal Chowk, during his meaningless "Bharat Jodo Yatra", which was a distant dream during congress rules in Delhi.
Demoralised, leaderless, the Grand Old Party of yester-years is now a pale shadow of its former self. Not quite dead yet, but life is ebbing away little by little with nobody seemingly in a hurry to call for help within the trio so called CWC, till it's perfect doom and extinction, which is the writing on the wall for the Congress party across the country.
The flora of a garden get its shine of worth and a smell of ecstatic aroma with the seedlings it is planted with. Once such seedlings are mutilated and out of functional base, such a garden is this going to prove as a liability for its worth, as it has no charm of attracting others. That is the case with the present congress, when the seedlings which are adorning it are either foreign to it or are of weak genetic formation to grow to a full size to magnify the glory of this garden, to its original grace.
