Kashmir Bhawan Calling
Dear Respected Member,
Namaskar,
Imagine the aroma of steaming cups of kahwa filling the air as families gather around to share stories from generations past. The pitter- patter of raindrops on rooftops creates a soothing rhythm, echoing the unity and resilience of our community. After all, it is in these moments that we realise the strength and beauty of our Kashmir heritage. With this, I am delighted to address you today as we embrace the arrival of the monsoon season, symbolising the eternal renewal of hope and the promise of abundant blessings bestowed upon our land.
Furthermore, as the monsoon season is set in, I want to take this opportunity to remind you of a few important things, with your safety as the foremost priority.
1. Stay updated Keep a close eye on weather forecasts and advisories provided by local authorities Stay informed about any potential weather-related hazards or warnings in your area.
2 Be cautious outdoors: If you need to venture outside during heavy rainfall, exercise caution and take necessary precautions. Avoid walking or driving through flooded areas, as the water levels can be deceptive and pose a significant risk.
3. Secure your surroundings: Take measures to ensure your home's and surroundings' safety. Clear clogged drains and gutters to prevent waterlogging Trim overhanging tree branches that pose a threat during strong winds.
4. Avoid electrical hazards: Be cautious of exposed wires or faulty electrical equipment during the rains. Avoid touching electrical appliances or switches with wet hands, and report any electrical issues to the appropriate authorities.
5. Take care of your health: The monsoon season can increase vector-borne diseases. Take precautions against mosquito bites by using mosquito repellents, wearing protective clothing, and keeping your surroundings clean and free from stagnant water.
As the rains descend upon our beloved land with its cooling showers and the rhythmic sound of raindrops, I pray that this time of year brings our nation a renewed sense of vitality and hope. I urge all our community members to allow compassion and kindness to flow through our actions and celebrate the monsoons as a time of rejuvenation and unity.
Wishing you all a safe and pleasant monsoon season.
