Infiltration bids go down: BSF

Date:- 05 Feb 2024

Ashok Yadav, Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), today said the heavy snowfall had significantly reduced infiltrations from across the border.

Talking to the reporters here, he said, “While there was a heightened threat of infiltration previously, the recent heavy snowfall in the upper region has mitigated this risk to a considerable extent. Snowfall typically obstructs the infiltration routes.”

He said the border guarding agency remained vigilant and fully prepared to address any potential challenge. “Weather conditions in Kashmir or in Rajasthan are a challenge but the Border Security Force is equipped to handle any scenario that may arise,” he added.
