Budgam Police Seize Drug Proceeds Attach 50 Lakh Residential Property
In a strong move against drug trafficking, Budgam Police have attached an immovable property valued at approximately ₹50 lakh in the Humhama area of Budgam district in connection with an NDPS case.
Budgam Police have attached an immovable property worth approximately ₹50 lakh in Humhama area of Budgam district in connection with an NDPS case, police said in a statement.
The attached property, a double-storey residential house, belongs to an alleged drug peddler, Irfan Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ashraf Dar, resident of Humhama. The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in FIR No. 44/2020, registered under Sections 8 and 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Budgam, it reads. This action forms part of the ongoing crackdown by Budgam Police to curb drug trafficking by targeting the financial assets of those involved in the narcotics trade, it reads.
