Chaitanya Krishna s Golden Incarnate

Chaitanya  Krishna s Golden Incarnate

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a leading light of the bhakti movement, is considered by many to be none other than Lord Krishna. He is popular ly known as Gauranga, the Golden avatara, because Hi body was the hue of molten gold. Shri Chaitanya di closed that Krishna was so intrigued by the intensity of Maharani’s unconditional love for Him, that to find out why Radharani found Him so attractive, He appeared on this earth as Chaitanya, a this earth as Chaitanya, a devotee of Krishna. He was a combination of Radha and Krishna, the energy and the energetic, merged into one. He said whenever He wished to taste the sweetness (madhurya) of Krishna, He would assume the feelings and emotions Radha had for Krishna. But, in His avatara as Krishna's devoteе, His mission was to propаgate sankirtana (congregational chanting of the names of the Lord) as the best way to counter kaliyuga and overcome material bondage. Lord Chaitanya with the amorous appeared on this planet in 1486 in Navadweep, Bengal. Not many people perceived Him as th Supreme Lord. But Krishna walked the earth over five thousand years ago, during the days of the Mahabharata, without being recognised as God Almighty! The gopis of Vrindavana knew Krishna only as the bewitching cowherd boy, Nandagopal. Since Krishna is Absolute, explained Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, there is no difference between Krishna and anything associated with Him. For example, Krishna's name, qualities, form, pastimes (lilas), and other paraphernalia associated with Him are identical to Him. Thus, meditating on anything connected with Him, particularly His name, has the same potency as meditating on Krishna Himself. Lord Chaitanya's philosophy, known as achintya bhedabheda, is the foundation of the Chaitanya Gaudiya faith. The philosophy holds that there is an identity (abheda) as well as a difference (bheda) between the jiva and Bhagavan which remains even after the jiva attains moksha. The jiva's qualities are identical to those of Bha gavan, but, whereas the jiva's are infinitesimal, those o Bhagavan are infinite. This sameness and difference is inconceivable (achintya) as concept of life and bound by the three gunas (modes) o prakriti (material nature). Achintya bhedabheda extracts its philosophy from the Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas. It obtains its principal support from the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagvatam. It also leans on the Brahma Sam hita which has beautifu prayers recited by Lord Brah ma in praise of Krishna. Lord Chaitanya's bible is the Srimad Bhagavatam also known as the Bhagavata Purana, which depicts the life philosophy and lilas of Krishna the most intimate of which are asa-lilas enacted with the amorous gopis of Vraja According to Shr Chaitanya, the highest form o worship is tha practised by the gopis of Vraja. The gopi simply loved Krishna fo His sake, and desired to give pleasure to Him uncon ditionally, without being conscious of social taboos. vaishnay All Gaudiya sects propagate Praladha Maharaja's navabhakti shravanam, kirtanam, sma ranam, pada-sevanam archanam, vandanam, das yam, sakhyam and finall atma-nivedanam which means total and unconditic nal surrender to Shm Krishna- as the nine way of performing pure bhakt They also consider th chanting of the maha mantra, which consists just three words- Hare Krishna and Rama- chant ed 16 times, as the simples and most effective method attaining the love of God.
