Universe is Brahmn In Disguise

Vedanta is about neither theism nor atheism. Or, to put it another way, it is atheism in theism and theism in atheism. We will see how. According to Vedanta, Brahmn is the ultimate character or structure ofthe universe. In fact, the universe is Brahmn indisguise. When the universe is reduced to its starkest nakedness, it is Brahmn. Therefore 'I am Brahmn'(aham brahmasmi), 'you are Brahmn' (tatwam asi), 'all are Brahmn' (sarvam khaluidam brahma). Just what is this Brahmn? The Brihadaranyaka, Chandogya and Taittiriya Upanishads make it plain and clear that Brahmn is akasha - that is, space, Kham brahma, akasho vy nama brahma... When the Isha Upanishad says that it is the inside of all and the outside of all, it means space. Literally also, Brahmn is space. Brahmn is "the largest and the ever enlargening", "that which contains all but is not contained by anything" Brahmn or space was just a point in the beginning, before Creation. A point, as we learn in our geometry class, has no dimensions. As it is dimensionless, it is called nirgunа or without attributes. Nirguna Brahmn is space without dimensions- that is. space contracted to a point. Then this point referred to as akshara, matra, bindu or shukra-exploded. The cause for the explosion is kama or libido. Kama is the primeval and eternal force. It is this primeval force that manifests itself as all the forces in the world. Kama is the creator. Kama is one with the point. The explosion of the point is the burst of kama. The explosion is called bindu visphota, shukra sphota, or simply sphota. Sphota stretches out the point into space. Thus the zero-dimensional nirguna Brahmn becomes the three-dimensional saguna Brahmn. Brahmn or space, is shuttled between zero-D and 3-D- that shuttling of Brahmn is both creation and dissolution. In zero-D the universe dissolves and in 3-D the universe re-emerges. Because Brahmn is a 'shuttle-cock', it is also called atman. The word atman literally means one who shuttles – between the zero-D nirguna and the 3-D saguna. All that Brahmn contains is the distortions or disfigurations of that space itself. By distorting itself, space creates all. This disfigura tion of space is called vivarta. Vivarta is the means of creation for Brahmn. Since all that fall within space are its own vivarta or distortion/disfiguration a God just cannot be there within space. Space has not and cannot have an outside; so space has not and cannot have boundaries. As space is the within and without of all, and all that are there in space are its own distortions, a God has no role in the whole round of being. Therefore Vedanta doesn't accept a God; hence Vedanta is atheistic. If there is a God, if there has to be a God, which God is and must be spacе itself. For, space has no outside and all that are inside it are its own deformities. Space is the beginning and end of all. Space is the sole and Supreme Being. Space is the ultimate character or structure of all. There is nothing other than space or Brahmn. Vedanta accepts space as the only possible God, and thus Vedanta is theistic as well. It is theism in atheism and atheism in theism. One can make out Vedanta as being either theistic or atheistic in accordance with one's bent of mind but in itself, Vedanta is neither theistic nor atheistic. Vedanta is simply the science of the ultimate nature of being.
