Ego Is Something That Edges God Out
What is ego? W We can expand the term 'ego' as 'Edging God Out'. Ego nothing but i-ness inflated to the point occupying one's entire inner space ad the consequent exclusion of erything other than the self. It connovanity, pride and stupidity. The same without vanity and arrogance is Iled asmitha in Sanskrit, meaning mocent orthe very personification of mocence. Let us see whether there is y logicalbasis for extreme egoism. If eclosely analyse our skills, talents, dachievements, there is nothingthat purely ours. Everything is created by od. There is logically nothing that stifies our pride. Emptiness is the absence of ego, a llingness to be hollow on the inside, so to be able to be filled by divine music. you have to draw love from the Lord or asic from his lips, empty yourself of your self-centredness. No ahankaar or i-ness, no vanity, just remaining in a state of shunya. How should we approach dreams? There is a waking state of our consciousness, just as there is a deep sleep state. We can identify a conscious mind, a subconscious mind, and a super conscious mind. All of us are conscious. The conscious mind can be considered as functioning like a filter. When certain memories and experiences in the conscious mind pass through this filter, they become part of the subconscious. How do we assume the existence of the subconscious? Can we at alba conscious of the subconscious? We cannot directly access the subconscious. Hypnosis is one way through which the subconscious becomes accessible to us. Dreams are the other means of accessing the subconscious. Dreams are the mind's way of reconciling with unfulfilled expectations, signals sent by the subconscious to the conscious mind. In the dream state we are not aware that we are dreaming. Therefore dreams dwell essentially in the subconscious, but they give us signals significant for us to deal with the life of our conscious mind. The best way to deal with a dream is to live that dream in the waking state. Perform a psycho-drama on the dream. For example, in one of your dreams, you find yourself extremely lonely, with nobody to care for you. You may see a lonely buffalo in a barren landscape all by itself. It may have powerful symbolic significance. Dramatising the dream the speaking tree means enacting the dream in the conscious state. The lonely buffalo may be suggesting that you be moresensitive and connect to people. It is a fact that a lot of people are lonely because they don't connect to their family, relatives, or neighbouThey don't have the courage to breakoff the shell of seclusion they have buaround themselves. If you decode youdream of the lonely buffalo, you will realise that it is an invitation to youtbreak out of your shell. There is a traditional way to prepare your mind before going to sleep to receive dreams and their signals during sleep. Try to recollecall that had happened from the morning till then; go over your experiences of the day in detail andreframe them with heightened awarness with deep positivity. Then go ovthe previous days as best you can. Yomind is now in a spiritual level, and this is sadhana that takes your minga greater degree of sharpness.
